Team urgently needs more Support Workers at A grade level and those keen to work and be paid at B grade Senior Support Work level. Team Medical has a large client base of Learning Disability work both in instituations and the community. The rate of pay is particularly rewarding as is the job satisfaction from working with this client group. We are keen to consider not only expereinced carers in this field but those of you who are interested in working in care possibility with this client group. There are many different types of learning disabilties and the root cause of learning disabilities is unknown, there are several explanations and different specific diagnosis's dependant on the circumstances of cause and symptons displayed. People with learning disabilities can be very vulnerable in today's society. An understanding is needed to deliver good practise and help improve the quality of life for a person with learning disabilities.

Working with learning disabilities is a commitment to improving their life chances. It is about valuing people to enhance their independence, choice and inclusion into today's society. Working with learning disabilities can be a challenge to help their development and values of everyday life. The support is made up of guidance and supervision together with observations and sometimes personal care to provide a full and purposeful adult life.

A support worker in this field would be offering guidance, enhancing understanding and quality of life of the individuals they work with.
